On the 21th of May 1904 at 229 Rue Honore Paris, representatives of the French, Belgian, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish and Swiss football associations founded the bigger football organization, with 204 members (more than the United Nations):
In 2004 FIFA celebrated the 100 years anniversary from its foundation. The anniversary was celebrated with the circulation of a unique collection of coins. Four commemorative coins for the four countries that played an important role in its history.
SWITZERLAND: The headquarters of FIFA
From 1932 the headquarters of FIFA are found in Zurich, under the current presidency of Joseph S. Blatter, 8th Chairman of FIFA from 1998.
URUGUAY: The first Hosting of the Games, the First champion
The country where which organized the first world cup and the first champion. Uruguay not only hosted the first World Cup of FIFA in 1930, but also won in the final, thus becoming the first champion of World Cup of FIFA.
FRANCE: The foundation
The country where everything began. FIFA was founded here on the 21th of May 1904, electing as its first Chairman Robert Guerin. The founding nations where: France, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
BRAZIL: The champions
The country that has won 5 championships. Brazil was the champion in 2004 and the most successful national team up to that time, having won the championship 5 times already: Switzerland 1958, Chile 1962, Mexico 1970, USA 1994 and Japan 2002.
